2010 Luxus RX350 versus 2010 Acura MDX?
My wife and I are looking at purchasing a new SUV and we are looking mostly at the above two models. (we are test driving the RX next week)
My question is:
1. We get quite a bit of snow, which AWD system would be the better one? Or are they both fairly comparable?
2. Which one would you choose given the choice?
3. Has anyone heard of quality differences between the two? We are looking for something that long term will be fairly reliable
4. Any other views on the two choices? Are there others that you would recommend?

Well considering the fact you are looking at a luxury crossover, I think I can help you here. Knowing Honda for its reliability and its reputation to the majority of the middle class, I would say that Honda has Instilled into Acura the safety and reliability into their “luxury segment of crossovers and sedans.” However in my opinion if its luxury you truly desire between both of your choices I would choose the RX over the MDX any day. The Lexus will surely state class and success while an Acura will not be taken seriously among its competitors in the luxury car market such as the Lexus RX , BMW X3, Infiniti Ex and the Mercedes GLK. The Lexus RX’s main focus is to comfort the driver and passengers with luxury not performance. Between both cars the MDX will out perform the Rx. The Acura MDX is equipped with a 300HP 3.7 Liter engine (base). The RX is just as reliable as the MDX, the differences are in the obvious design and styling.
As much as i respect Lexus, i would however recommend the Infiniti FX. Considering the fact an Acura MDX starts at $40,000 i don’t think you’ll have a problem bumping up your price range to $2,000 more. An Infiniti FX is truly one of my favorite Luxury crossover which competes with the Range Rover, BMW X6 and the Mercedes M. If you really want a car that will give you more Bang for your buck think nothing further then the very prestigious Infiniti FX35-50. The Infiniti FX starts at $42,400 and prices out to around $80,000 when fully equipped. Infiniti has equipped their vehicles with more standard luxurious features then any other luxury Auto-maker out on the market today. Not to mention the Infiniti Fx is the innovation of a coupe built into a Crossover. A standard Fx produces 303HP and when well equipped can pack 390 HP. Infiniti was the first auto-maker to introduce the worlds first around view monitor, which as you can probably guess, the system includes cameras at the front, rear, and sides of the vehicle, which are apparently intended primarily to help with parking. The system will allow you to see the top of your vehcile as if there where a helicopter hoovering over you with a video camera allowing you to park at ease, and i might add this is standard on any FX35-50 Model. Infiniti and Lexus have become the worlds leading enhanced technology luxury vehicles. Infiniti has introduced “studio on wheels” which is the first system of its kind allowing the driver and passengers to feel the music surrounding the vehcile. “’The G designers and engineers gave the audio teams’ unprecedented freedom in the design of the Studio On Wheels, including engineering the front doors around the door speakers – rather than the other way around. The sound benchmarks were actually set utilizing a custom home audio stereo system. The result is a breakthrough two-channel car audio system which accurately reproduces the impact and nuances of live music. An Infinit Fx will definitely state class and success and trust me this is the most reliable crossover you will find equipped with all the bells and whistles for 10k less then a Range rover. BUY THE INFINITI FX!!!!!!
