4) The Ranger, while a reasonable choice, is a very old design. It’s going out of production next year. Inexpensive, but will lose value quickly.
3) Colorado & Canyon. Same vehicle. Consumer Reports “much worse than average” reliability. Horrifying crash test results. Troublesome 5 cylinder engine. Avoid.
2) Frontier. A good choice, and good reliability.
1) Tacoma wins by a hair. Get your best deal on a Tacoma, and they will likely be discounted with all of Toyota’s problems right now. Much better than average reliability reported by Consumer Reports.
